Easter on the Prairie
A Chisholm Trail Historical Preservation Society and City of Yukon event, held annually at the Mollie Spencer Farm.
Easter on the Prairie is a can’t-miss annual tradition for Yukon citizens and visitors. The 2019 Easter on the Prairie will be held on Saturday, April 20th - the 28th year for the annual festival. Gates will open at 9 a.m. at the Mollie Spencer Farm, 1001 Garth Brooks Blvd.
Annually hosted at the Mollie Spencer Farm, Easter on the Prairie includes pictures with Easter bunnies; live chick hatchery; a lamb petting zoo; police, fire trucks and ambulances; Highland Dancers presented by Ladymon School of Dance; dance performances; face painting; train rides; gunfighters; blacksmiths; and more! There are also two Easter egg hunts, one usually starting at 11 a.m. and the other at 1 p.m.
Easter on the Prairie is for children ages 1 - 12 years old and also includes an area designated to accommodating children with special needs. About 3,000 people usually attend the event. Concessions are open for lunch and refreshments.
